A Basic four school teacher, Mr. Chinedu Okeke in Patphina International School, Ojo, has been remanded by the Ogba Magistrates Court for allegedly raping an 8-year-old boy inside the classroom.
The 17-year-old teacher was reported to have defiled his pupil through his anus.
The incident was reported to have taken place during closing hours but was detected when the victim later complained to his parents.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B. O. Osunsanmi ordered that Okeke who pleaded guilty should be remanded in custody for fact and a sentence to be later deliberated on.
Implicating the school proprietress, an order was made for her to also be remanded at the Correctional Centre, Kirikiri, pending when she perfects her bail conditions.
She was granted bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood.
