Supports Grow as Alakija mobilises Parents, teachers for Oshodi-Isolo LG Chairman, Oloyede’s 2nd term in office

Ahead of the July 12, 2025 local government elections in Lagos State, support for the chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede continues to grow daily. The latest endorsement and support is from the education sector, as primary school teachers, school base management committee and the parents teachers forum in Oshodi gathered to drum support for the re-election of the council chairman.

The gathering, which was organised by the Education Secretary of Oshodi-Isolo local government Education Authority, Hon. Mayowa Alakija, was well attended by teachers and parents from across the various schools within the local government.

Alakija, while giving his welcome address, thanked the gathering for their trust, firm believe, and support for the executive chairman and his re-election bid.

He urged them to continue to mobilise more members as he said sooner, the body will stage a mega rally in support of the council chairman.

Speaking during the gathering the chairman of Oshodi-Isolo LGA of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Saheed Animashaun commended the gathering for their turning out en masse for the council chairman, assuring them that their support will not be in vain as he said the party had chosen the right person to lead the council. He said since his assumption of office, the council boss has been performing well on infrastructure and human capital development andmany other areas.

He urged the people not to relent and ensure they mobilise their family members and friends to vote for Otunba Oloyede.

The secretary to the local government, Hon. Smart Akinleye also canvassed support for the executive chairman. Without mincing words, Akinleye said the council chairman’s performance in office in less than four years have been a wonderful and proud one, urging everyone to mobilise and cast their votes for the council chairman in the coming elections.

Also eulogizing the chairman was an APC chieftain and chairman, School Management Board of Monsuru Agoro pry school, Elder M.A. Salako, S.A. on Education, Hon. Gideon Balogun, Chairman, KICC, Hon. Olubiyo and APC Oshodi women leader, Alh. Modinat Ibrahim.

In appreciating the council chairman for his good works over the years, the none teaching staff presented him with an award of excellence and appreciation for his good works.

The award was graciously received by the SLG on behalf of the chairman.
