Nigeria legend, Ayisat Yusuf is elated with her numerous success in Finland. The Fifpro winner has a huge impact in the lives of young girls footballers back in Nigeria.
The founder of Ayisat Yusuf FA and SheFootball Initiative is breaking grounds in Finland as she has earned a momentous height as an ambassador in the Finland.
Yusuf said it’s a tremendous honor to lead Finland to win the UEFA Unity Cup in 2023 and she’s aiming to replicate the success at the Unity Euros Cup 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland.
She penned her appreciation to the Players Union of Finland for recognizing her impact in leading the team to the European tourney.
“Football knows no boundaries, has no gender, and unites us all. It is a tremendous honor to represent Team Finland, not just as a player but also as an ambassador for the team,” Yusuf said.
“In 2023, we won the UEFA Unity Cup tournament in Germany, and now we are heading to Geneva, Switzerland, for the Unity Euro Cup 2024.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Player Union of Finland (Jalkapallon Pelaajayhdistys), Suomen Palloliitto, @viikingit, and @shefootballinitiative for recognizing me for this significant role.”
