Students sponsored by council chairman graduate

Matriculated Lagos Cooperative college students

The students of Lagos State Cooperative College for the 2022/2023 academic year sponsored by the chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Olowa, have graduated.
The students studied on sponsorship which covered their full school fees and 50 per cent of the hostel fees of the beneficiaries.
The institution empowered youths with sound cooperative education, entrepreneurial skills and economic development on a full-time basis.
One of the beneficiaries, Blessing Edache noted that with the sponsorship, she hoped to gain practical experience in areas that complement her strengths, interests and educational needs to build confidence in her to face the cooperative world like others.
She appreciated the gesture by the council boss, saying it helped her to discover new personal strengths and skills that she did not know she possess in the first place.
Another beneficiary, Raseed Suluka, said he actively learned the act of teamwork to become a responsible team member in the “real world” in his chosen career and build a vast connection while synergising with people of like minds at work.
He encouraged interested residents to try to be informed to know when the next screening will commence while assuring them that he will try his best in excelling to make the council proud of the sponsorship.
