Stakeholders in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government have urged the security personnel to focus on some identified polling units in Amuwo-Odofin LG where electoral process may be disrupted during the coming governorship and state assembly elections.
They intimated the police during their meting with the Area Commander of Nigeria Police, Area E Command, ACP Olusegun Ajomolaya.
Speaking, the area commander said the reason for noting the views of the public is to do a review of the security strength of the council area during election to safeguard the good people of Amuwo-Odofin.
He said they intend to strengthen the effectiveness of policing during and after election as they are fully committed to their statutory responsibilities.
Ajomolaya appealed for the full cooperation of residents during election to avoid violence and criminality to ease the tension in the atmosphere.
