Showtime Bowl Series XIII Week 4 Fever Takes Hits Lagos

Excitement is building once again as the Showtime Bowl Series XIII returns this weekend for Week 4, with the atmosphere at Showtime Arena, Lekki set to ignite.
As the race for the championship heats up, players and fans alike are bracing for another round of explosive matchups that promise power, precision, and passion.
This weekend’s fixtures feature five thrilling encounters. Lagos Athletic Knights take on Lekki Braves in the opening game, followed by defending champions Warriors Flag Football clashing with Lagos Alpha Flag Football.
The Mainland Long Horns will meet Lagos Raptors, before league leaders Panthers Sports face a strong challenge from Ikan Sports in the standout fixture of the day. The final game sees Lagos Rebels go head-to-head with Greenbacks Flag Football under the Lekki lights.
The Panthers Sports side, who have maintained an unbeaten run so far, are heading into Week 4 full of confidence. Speaking with Sports247, Lawal Fuad, the team’s No. 09 safety, said the group is fully focused on keeping their momentum.
“We are more determined this season and treat every game like a final,” Fuad said.
“Our coaches remind us all the time don’t underrate anybody. The league is competitive, and we’re staying focused.”
For the Warriors Flag Football team, the reigning champions, this weekend’s game against Lagos Alpha is another opportunity to prove their dominance. Known for their fierce determination, Ogbodu Otega spoke about the team’s fighting spirit:
“We don’t stop we are Warriors. Everybody wants to stop us, but they can’t. We came here with one mind to fight to the finish.”
On the other side, Lagos Athletic Knights enter Week 4 as one of the most disciplined sides in the league. Titilayo Abanikonda, the team’s wide receiver and quarterback, shared her team’s mindset heading into their clash with Lekki Braves:
“We came into this season with one goal to win the league. We know how strong our opponents are, but we stay focused, one game at a time.”
