SheFootball: Ayisat Yusuf Excited Over Success

Nigeria legend, Ayisat Yusuf is excited over the positives and commendations merited over the success and achievements of the SheFootball Conference initiative which has enlightened women footballers and given them hope in the grassroots.

The event which comprises of a day tournament, the official launching of the Ayisat Yusuf FA and the conference which centered on educating Nigeria referees.

DreamStar Ladies defeated Ayisat Yusuf FA to emerged the champions of the 2025 SheFootball A Day Tournament at the Legacy pitch, National stadium, Surulere.

Eight women’s football clubs in Lagos competed keenly for the glory of the competition in an explosive atmosphere.

Austria FIFA Badged Referee, Sara Telet shared her experiences in the game with the Nigeria referees at the conference while she urges them to hit the top in their professional career.

Yusuf said it’s has been a remarkable feat over the years by giving back to the grassroots where young footballers are groomed and giving the Girl Child a voice of her own.

She highlighted the success of the past event which have seen the discovery of notable stars who have gone on to play for the national team in the age grade categories.

The Super Falcons ex international further disclosed that future editions would bring about more innovations and experiences dedicated to the Girl Child.

Football boots, jerseys, training kits were given out to over eight clubs in order to foster the development of the Girl Child.
