SGH Sports Academy crowned King of King’s Cup

It wasn’t an easy feat rather an easy ride to glory at the King’s Cup but a well deserved trophy victory for SGH Sports Academy at the King’s Cup 2022 edition.

SGH Sports Academy defeated Liberty Stars 1-0 to become the champions of the King’s Cup in dramatic fashion.

Jamiu Rasak brilliant strike in the 49th minute for SGH Sports Academy sinked Liberty Stars dream of winning the King’s Cup.

It was a match that really lived up to expectations as both teams gave each other a good fight for glory and pride.

Both teams had their fair share of chances in the first half but good defensive ability proved to be the wall of Jericho that both sides couldn’t break or find a way pass through it.

In the second half, Jamiu Rasak pounced on a loose ball to find the back of the net in the 49th minute to give the Godly Boys the lead in the game.

The goal conceded by Liberty Stars woke them up from their slumber and gave more intensity and revival to the game.

Liberty Stars gave their all to get an important equalizer in the game but SGH Sports Academy stood tall to deny Liberty Stars the much coveted equalizer in the game.

SGH Sports Academy defended their slim lead to earn a great win which ultimately crowned them the champions of the 2022 King’s Cup.
