The new Chairman of Afariogun Community Development Association (CDA), Mr. Jamiu Ayinla has disclosed that security of his people remains the top agenda of his leadership as he employed seven security men to guard the community.

According to him, it would be easy to execute developmental projects in the community if people’s lives and properties are first secured.

Ayinla said the association has registered the security personnel with the government in accordance with the new policy of the local government that any security man employed in the community should be duly registered at the local council for proper screening and documentation.

The CDA chairman told ECHONEWS that the security men would be operating in the night between 7pm and 6am, covering the five streets including Jubrila, Femi Akinshola, Adedeji, Olusoji and part of Afariogun Street.

Ayinla, who took over leadership from the former CDA chairman, Alhaji Azeez Subaru said he wanted to build on the legacy of his predecessor, but said that he would align with the community yearnings and try to fulfill their immediate needs.

He noted that security is one of the urgent things the residents have been agitating for, hence the deployment of the security personnel.

“If we can find solution to the security issue, the community will be better off. I have to employ the security personnel to guard the community because this is one of the most striking issues. There are other things the CDA will do for the development of the community; security is just one of them.”

He therefore appealed to the residents to give their support to the association in order to achieve and facilitate greater development.
