The President of Sapphire Nigeria Women Football Supporters Club, Jadesola Adelabu have congratulated the Flamingos for qualifying to the quarter final of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
The Flamingos didn’t start well in the tournament as they lost their first game to Germany before crushing New Zealand 4-0 and getting a sweet victory over the Chileans in the last game to accumulate 6 points and book a place in the last 8 of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
“The Flamingos did a very good job to qualify to the quarter final of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in India, the feat didn’t come easy but they showed resilience and positive character to get the job done.
“After the loss against Germany, the team was able to learn from their mistakes and get the needed results at stake to get the job done. This is a laudable feat to the entire team and I’m sending my congratulations to the entire team and the backroom staff.
“We will continue to support them and pray for them to go far in the tournament.
“The players that make up the Flamingos are very good and young players that are the future of Nigeria Women Football in years to come and I urge them to remain focused and determined in their career.”
