The Government of Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is committed to the welfare of Officers of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency and will ensure they are well taken care of at all times.
This was confirmed by the General Manager of the Agency, Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan during the payment of training allowances to Corp Officers at the Headquarters of the Agency at Bolade, Oshodi.
Oyekan said the Agency and other security and safety agencies are on the priority list of the Governor, saying this is demonstrated by the Governor’s response to issues affecting the smooth operation and welfare of the officers of the Neighbourhood Corps.
The General Manager said the only way to repay the Governor and the Tax paying people of the State is to diligently deliver on their expected mandate as enshrined in the enabling Laws establishing the Agency.
Oyekan admonished the officers to put up characters and behaviours that clearly justifies the investment committed to their welfare and training.
Among the beneficiaries are retired Corp officers and the next of Kin of deceased officers.
It will be recalled that officers were provided additional safety kits and working tools recently.
