Sanwo-Olu met with the High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya to Nigeria, Isaac K. Parashina to discuss and restrengthen the bilateral relationship between both countries.
During the meeting he assured Parashina that the bilateral relationship between the two countries will keep going, most especially in the vital sectors to improve Africa’s economy to be enjoyable for both Nigeria and Kenya.
The Governor eulogized Kenyans for their utmost tolerance in the face of adversity, sighting the importance of the role of technology in learning thereby improving Africa’s economy.
He said “At this difficult moment for global leaders, there is need for us to lean on one another, learn about new innovations, create new invention.
“We all need to come together to actualise our dreams to build a formidable, political and economically vibrant Africa. Kenya Airways and Ethiopia Airways have shown us it can be done.
“We need to ensure that as African countries we can reach each other and thrive together.
“Lagos is hub of entertainment, culture and art, as long distance race is synonyms with Kenyans, it’s important to identify each other ‘s strength and weaknesses.”
Parashina recognized the achievements of Lagos in Africa and worldwide, also vowed to implement in Kenya the creative mind of Lagos Youths in the art industry in Kenya.
He also emphasized the support and cooperation of his government to build a Kenya House in Lagos which will serve as his country’s contingent.
