The newly elected chairman of Low Cost Housing Estate Landlords, Jakande, Alhaji Isiaka Salami, has promised to bring the Estate closer to the local govt to attract development.

“My agenda is to work with the elderly people who have been part of the developmental stage on the Estate before, using my office as the chairman to work together with the Ejigbo LCDA government to bring about the developments on the Estate.

“Within my 100 days in office, I wish to bring back the circular road on the Estate where commercial vehicles take passenger from the Estate to Oshodi and drop them back on the Estate. That has been in operation before; we want to bring it back.

“Also, the primary school on the Estate is in poor shape. When it rains, the pupils cannot stay in the classes. We want to solve that problem as we work with the government and the agency concerned.

“The next is that we don’t have a meeting place presently, and I wouldn’t like to now turn my house to be the secretariat, so we plan to have our own secretariat within our 100 days in office. Other one is the youths, we want to work to bring the youths together and to ensure peace and stability among them.

“I want to also ensure our gate entrance is cleared that people may have free flow of traffic and movement at the gate entrance,” he said.

Appreciating the efforts of the Ejigbo LCDA Chairman, Hon. Monsuru Bello (Obe), Salami promised to work with the council to ensure prompt payment of the radio/Television rates by the Estate residents.

He therefore sought the support of the residents to have a better Estate.
