The Rotary Club of Alagbado, under the leadership of Rotarian Oluwaseyi Ogunsimiro, the President of the club, has generously donated clinical drugs to the Alagbado Primary Health Centre located at Alafia Junction, Otta Road, Mosalasi. This significant gesture took place on Saturday, July 27, 2024, in commemoration of the Rotary Month of July, which is dedicated to Maternal and Child Health on the Rotary calendar.

President Ogunsimiro emphasized that this donation is intended to complement the efforts of Mr. David Famuyiwa, the Chairman of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, who recently constructed a new Primary Healthcare Center for the community. “We are Rotarians, and our mission is to enhance the community’s well-being. We recognize that the government cannot do it alone, and we believe that self-help is the best help. We deeply appreciate Unique and Fidson Pharmaceuticals for their generous contribution of these drugs. May God continue to bless their firms,” said Seyi.

He further explained that the club collaborated with Unique and Fidson Pharmaceuticals to make this donation possible and called on well-meaning Nigerians to join Rotary in its mission. “Rotary is for professionals and those with a heart for giving, not just the wealthy. We welcome anyone who wants to make a positive impact to join us to do more especially in identifying arears where our community needs,” he added.

Other Rotarians present at the event included Razaq Adeyemi Yekinni (Sega), Ogunjobi Oluwatoyin, Adeneye Babatunde, Godwin Arabumen, Ayodele Lawal, Oyeneye Abiodun, Biola Lawal, and Yinka Folarin. Mrs. Ijiba Elizabeth and Adenike Okediran represented the Medical Officer of Health of Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Dr. Shalom Oni, in receiving the President and members of the Rotary Club of Alagbado.
