The Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State has seen a recent development as the Council Chairman, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, completed the rehabilitation of Asiwaju and Okesalu roads.
The project, which aimed to address the daily struggles faced by community members while using the roads, was completed within the scheduled timeframe and is expected to bring relief to residents.
In a visit to the community on Thursday, Akinsanya, accompanied by Vice Chairman Mrs. Mojisola Badmus, expressed gratitude to the residents for their cooperation during the rehabilitation process.
The completion of the project demonstrates the local government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens.
Residents who spoke with the press expressed their joy and appreciation to the chairman for addressing their concerns and investing in the development of the community.
“We thank our chairman for bringing this rehabilitation project to our community. We are truly excited about this rehabilitation. Once completed, it will bring much-needed relief to the community, which becomes nearly impassable even after a small rain.
“The road is a bypass linking several communities such as Egbe road, Igando, ikotun old garage, Abaranje, Oropo junction and so on”.
