Residents excited as Ogunwemimo street nears completion

Joy and excitement rented the air in Ogunwemimo street as the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede commenced the laying of interlocking stones on the street.

The commencement of the stone pavement signals that the important connecting road is nearing completion.

Ogunwemimo street is a shorter route that connects both the international and local airport from the Ewutuntun axis of the Oshodi-Isolo local government.

The council chairman noted that given the strategic location of the road, he is given it attention and would ensure its early completion to allow for seamless movement of goods, services and reduction of travel time on the residents.

Otunba Oloyede disclosed that the road rehabilitation and many others are testimonies of the resolve of his administration and fulfillment of his electoral promises with the people.

He promised not to relent in delivering more dividends of democracy for the people.

He said, “I am happy at the pace and quality of work done on this street and others.

Ogunwemimo street is a very important street connecting the international and local airport and it will also ensure seamless of goods and services in our local government.

I appreciate our people for their support, prayers and endurance during the period of the construction. We shall continue to serve them more.”
