PSP operator decries low payment compliance

The Director of Providence Global Service, the Private Sector Participation (PSP) in refuse management operating in Ejigbo LCDA, Mr. Tunde Otitoloju, has lamented the poor response from the community in term of payment for the service rendered since the coronavirus crisis began.

Otitoloju disclosed how the company struggled to get meagre from the monthly bills in the community.

He decried the noncompliance of many customers with their payment which has been affecting the company’s workforce, complaining that just only few co-operated with the company paying little out of their huge bills.

He explained that the initial challenge on the Igando dump site has been resolved and the company has been rendering uninterrupted service to the community but the community does not appreciate its commitment.

“Now, there is no more delay as far as the company is concerned to serve the community but, the response we get from the community in terms of payment is not encouraging.

“Many people find it difficult to pay N500 charged monthly for the service we render to them. They keep complaining of coronavirus but many of them prefer to pay more to the cart-pushers.”

He appealed to the community to co-operate with the PSP to have an effective operation in the community.
