Professor Adeyinka Okubena-Dipeolu: Last rites begin

Burial rites for late prolific academic and director, Lagos State University Directorate of Advancement, Professor Adeyinka Okubena-Dipeolu began this morning at the Church of Epiphany, Erunwon, near Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
At 11.20 am, the vicar, Venerable Olugbade Adetunji led the funeral procession of other priests, followed by the casket and pall bearers, into the hall.
Also in the procession were her children- Oluwaseun, Temitope and Anuoluwapo- and palace bearers of staffs of 10 kings in a traditional show of condolence.
The event was attended by her primary school mates from St Stephen’s A Primary School, Ile-Ife, secondary school colleagues from Our Lady’s Girls High School,Ile-Ife, and students and lecturers of Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State.
In his sermon, the vicar compared the day of her demise as the Black Tuesday for the Erunwon community and the Anglican Church where she chaired the church’s 130th anniversary committee.
