Private school owners trained on safety

Ahead of school resumption, private school owners have been trained on safety of the students and other workers.
To ensure they uphold the safety protocols, a two-day training programme on safety was organized for the private school owners powered by the office of Education Quality Assurance.
The training focused on health safety and hygiene management in schools while the areas covered in the training include self assessment plans, reopening plans, data communication plans, academic plans, safety checklist plans among others.
Addressing the participants, the Director of Education and Quality Assurance, Mr. Remi Abdul analysed the steps required to maintain safety precautions as stated in the guidelines for school re-opening after COVID- 19 pandemic.
Speaking to ECHONEWS, the President of the Association of Private School Owners (APSO), Mr. Monsuru Ayinde Obiola promised that they would ensure the safety of the students and the teachers during school sessions.
He said with the training, the private schools are ready for operation as there would be checks on the schools from time to time.
He said: “We are not going to take any chance as school owners, we will make sure that the school is managed in the best way we can with maximum safety of students and teachers without compromising in any form.”
The proprietor of De Global Passion School, Mafoluku Oshodi, Mr. Saheed Adewale said the information acquired at the training would be transfered to the parents through Parents Teachers Association (PTA) meeting to work on the same page for the achievement of maximum protection of both students and teachers while in school.
