36 Lions FC in conjunction with Victory Ones FA organized a scouting program at Elepe secondary school, Ikorodu.
The scouting tournament was attended by 8 teams who came to show the players at their disposal as they remain hopeful of them playing for age long club 36 Lions FC.
Akinshola Akinrele Head coach 36 Lion football club of Lagos while speaking with ECHONEWS, stated that he have seen a lot of players in the scouting tournament in Ikorodu but 36 Lions FC are after premium players as he was able to pencil down 5 players in the first day of the scouting program and hopes to pick more players in the second and final day of the scouting tournament.
“I have seen a lot of talent here at Ikorodu but we are after premium players which we have been only able to pick 5 players for the first day and I’m coming back tomorrow to pick more players in the final lap of the scouting program and take them to 36 Lions and if they meet up to the standard of 36 Lions FC, then they will be signed to the club to pursue their future endeavors.
“At 36 Lions FC, we pick players from the street and nurture them to future Stars and a lot of players have played for European clubs from this same method of scouting that we are using today.”
Damilare Jaiyeola the organizer and head coach of Victory Ones FA appreciated the CEO of 36 Lions FC, Alhaji Gafar Liameed for bringing this type of opportunity to Ikorodu and the players are very happy for getting this type of opportunity as it will be a major boost to their career.
Coach Jaiyeola added that with this scouting tournament, youths have been taken off bad habits in the neighborhood which includes smoking of hard drugs and other social vices.
