The wanted suspected notorious armed robber and leader of a cult group infamously known as ‘Arsenal’ has been arrested alongside seven members of his gang who have put trauma in the lives of many.
The arrest followed an operation led by the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in Ejigbo, CSP Chikezie Okezie. The raid lasted for several hours at a black spot in Oboye Street. The robbery kingpin was said to have gone to the notorious area for reprisal attack on a rival cult group.
According to reports, the Police got hint of Arsenal’s movement, reinforced and stormed the location.
Echonews understands that there was exchange of gunshots between the police and the gang until the police eclipsed them. Arms recovered include 2 pump action rifles, 6 locally made short guns, 6 axes, charms and other dangerous weapons.
Arsenal met his waterloo having been into man-hunting for seven years. He and his gang members have been handed over to the State Anti-Robbery Squad, (SARS) for further interrogation.
