Police Arraign Deaf Man Over Alleged Defilement Of Teenager

The Police in Lagos have arraigned one Temitope Holo in court over accusations of defiling a 17-year-old girl.
Holo, 30, who is hearing-impaired, was arraigned at the Badagry Magistrates’ Court on a charge count of defilement.
According to the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Ayodele Adeosun, the suspect commited the offence in July 2024, at n0 18, Oba Beyioku Street, Winners Chapel area, in Badagry, Lagos.
Adeosun told the courthouse that the litigant indecently removed the survivor’s underwear and penetrated her genitals with fingers.
The Prosecutor held that the act contravened Sections 261 and 263 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
The suspect pleaded not guilty.
The court adjourned Holo’s trial till April 2 and directed the police to forward the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, for legal advice.
