Amid growing concerns about potential protests against economic hardships, the Chairman of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada held an important meeting with community leaders to discuss measures to maintain peace and prevent potential unrest. She specifically requested parents and guardians to educate their children and wards about the risks associated with participating in such demonstrations.

 

 

The primary objective of Princess Bada’s appeal was to urge the residents to be patient and give President Tinubu’s government more time to implement effective economic recovery plans, which would ultimately benefit the entire country.

 

 

Princess Samiat Bada, with her heartfelt plea, engaged the community leaders, the Community Development Committee, Community Development Associations, business owners, market leaders, and concerned residents in a constructive dialogue. She recognized the authenticity of the public’s concerns about the current economic situation but encouraged them to trust in the government’s plan to revitalize the economy.

 

Princess Bada emphasized the value of solidarity and collective action during these difficult times, highlighting the fact that only through unity and patience can the country overcome these challenges and prosper.

 

 

 

While recognizing the fundamental right to peaceful protest in a democratic society, the Council Boss underscored the potential consequences of disruptive actions that could hinder the progress already being made towards economic recovery.

 

She underscored the significance of cooperation, dialogue, and patience in navigating the current economic difficulties, emphasizing the government’s unwavering commitment to implement sustainable solutions that would benefit the entire nation.

 

 

In her passionate appeal to parents and guardians, the Chairman implored them to guide the younger generation towards constructive channels of engagement.The Chairman underscored the vital role of education and responsible citizenship in nurturing the youth to be productive members of society.

 

She stressed that families have a crucial role to play in instilling values of patience, perseverance, and faith in the democratic process, which are vital for navigating challenges and building a better future for all.

 

 

 

The meeting concluded with a unanimous agreement among stakeholders to actively promote peace and tranquility in the Local Council Area.
