The Vice Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Isolo LCDA, Hon. Goodman Ahuekwe, has commended the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) for the hitch-free and seamless ongoing local government election in Ajao Estate.
Ahuekwe cast his vote at polling unit 008, Awoniyi Elemo, Ajao Estate, around 10am while the chairmanship candidate of the party, Hon. Tajudeen Bamigboye cast his vote some minutes past 9 in Ilasamaja Ward.
Ahuekwe applauded the electoral umpire for the seamless and peaceful process of the election in his ward as he expressed optimism for victory even as he confirmed that turnout has been unimpressive across the council area.
He, however, expressed his optimism for more electorate to cast their votes, boasting that PDP is positioned for victory.
His words: “The process is smooth and easy and fast, no hitch. And the information I have from few polling units is that the security is okay but the turnout is low. Maybe people will come out later because they are viewing the situation to be sure of security but, I’m confident that PDP will emerge victorious across all wards at the end of the exercise.”
