As part of his preparation for the forthcoming local government election, a leading chairmanship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Tajudeen Bamigboye (Orji), has revealed plans to re-develop the local council if elected the next chairman.
He emphasised that he aspires to contest again after failing two attempts as a councillor.
According to him, he is aspiring for the council chairmanship this time having felt the need for him to occupy the position to reposition the council area.
Bamigboye, a two-term councillorship candidate of PDP in Ilasamaja Ward, said he lost the election on two occasions due to alleged fraud in the electoral process.
The PDP aspirant boasted of victory, saying his party is stronger and well-prepared for the election.
He told ECHONEWS that the division amongst the party members during the last election has since been sorted out as he appealed to the electorate to come out in their multitude to vote for him.
He believed that he would be favoured since he is the only chairmanship aspirant from Ilasamaja ward though under the opposition party.
He said since Ilasamaja residents want one of their people to be the next chairman and the aspirants under APC in the ward have all stepped down, the residents would give him total support to win the election.
Bamigboye insisted on winning the election, saying the party is consolidating its winning strategy.
He added that his party will painstakingly screen and re-orientate its polling agents to avoid the repetition of what happened in 2011.
Explaining his capability and readiness to serve, he said he is known to be selfless and goal-oriented, promising to give priority to infrastructural development in the aspects of roads, healthcare institutions, education and others.
“We will empower our people, the aged, widows, indigent students and others that need supports. We will make Isolo LCDA work for everyone in the community and reposition it to its glory as one of the most and developed council areas in the state. My appeal to the electorate is to do away with any form of electoral apathy and come out to vote, let’s work together in order to open doors to endless possibilities,” he appealed.
