PCRC charges new DPO to sustain securityl

The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Aswani Division, Isolo LCDA has charged the new Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP Adeleke Ojajuni to be dutiful to sustain the security of the community.

Ojanuni was deployed to the division on Friday, February 26, 2021 following the transfer of the former DPO, CSP Oyin Frances SOA, to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba as the Officer-in-Charge of Division 7 (Human Right).

Ojajuni is the 9th DPO of the division in 14 years.

His predecessor, CSP Oyin Frances, spent 18 months in Aswani division.

Speaking to ECHONEWS about Ojajuni who just resumed duty at the division, the PCRC Chairman, Hon. Adeleke Adegboyega, expressed confidence in him, describing the new DPO as a proactive officer who has shown great readiness to work and keep the peaceful nature of the community.

Adegboyega explained that immediately he came in, he (Ojajuni) has been visiting and consulting the stakeholders, opinion leaders beginning with the Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Alani Agbabiaka for his royal blessings and other security outfits in the community.

“He has shown an impressive level of readiness to collaborate with the members of the community to fight crimes. He believes that it is a joint venture between the community and the police. He is ready to work and we have assured him of our partnership. He has been visiting the stakeholders in the community and I believe he will perform wonderfully.”

The PCRC boss, therefore, urged the DPO to always seek information from the committee and other stakeholders to ease his job in the community.
