The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has highlighted what it describes as strong internal organisation following the successful conduct of its recent membership registration and congress exercises.

Party spokesman in the state, Seye Oladejo, said the electronic membership registration process and the smooth running of ward and local government congresses demonstrate the party’s commitment to structure, innovation and internal order.

In a statement, Oladejo said the exercises were conducted peacefully and in accordance with constitutional guidelines. He added that participation was high and the process remained orderly throughout.

According to him, the outcome reflects a united party preparing for future political responsibilities. He stated that the leadership transition within the state executive represents a balance of experience and younger representation, as well as attention to gender inclusion.

Oladejo said the new leadership team combines institutional knowledge with renewed energy, which he believes will help sustain and advance the party’s objectives in the state.

He also used the opportunity to contrast the party’s approach with that of its political rivals, urging opposition parties to focus on building stronger internal systems.

Oladejo argued that politics should be centred on organisation, coordination and leadership rather than public disputes or internal divisions.

The statement concluded by reaffirming the party’s commitment to maintaining unity and strengthening its structures across all levels in Lagos State.
