The third edition of the Owo Unity Cup will kickoff on August nine at the Eko Boys High School, Mushin.
Eight teams will trade tackles in the grassroots tournament which will engage top stars in Mushin.
Stallion FC will square up against Lyon Blessed in the opening game on Friday by 2pm, while Saturday All Stars will clash with MS Success by 4pm same day.
The innovator of the tournament is Australia based philanthropist, Mr Owolabi Badara whose aim of the competition is to give back to the society he came from.
The competition aims at developing talented youngsters in the grassroots and providing a platform to nurture their talents to a desirable standard.
Musbau Oseni, the chief organizer of the Owo Unity Cup clamours for all the participating teams to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship and they shouldn’t allow emotions get over them in breaking the lay down rules.
Excitement is building as the Owo Unity Cup draws near. Football fans across the community eagerly await the tournament, which promises fierce competition and a celebration of unity.
As teams prepare to battle it out, the event also offers a valuable platform for young, talented players to showcase their skills.
Other first round matches are, Nohil FC facing Ciroma FC in the third quarter final game on Saturday, August 10 by 3pm, while Tuto Atlanta and Eko Boys All Stars complete the last quarter final fixture which will come up on Monday, August 12 by 3pm.
