Veteran Fuji musician, Saheed Osupa, has reacted publicly to a prophecy predicting his death, allegedly made by a Nigerian cleric.
A controversial Muslim cleric, popularly known as Alpha Olopa Meta, had claimed that Osupa would die on January 10, 2026. The cleric further alleged that he had pleaded with God on the singer’s behalf and advised him to purchase a large ram for prayers.
Osupa responded to the claim during a live performance on Sunday, January 11, 2026, where he dismissed the prophecy as false and strongly condemned those wishing him harm.
“Fake alphas and prophets, please stop wishing me dead,” the Fuji star said. “Anyone who wishes me dead will die in my place.”
He added: “Whether they are close enemies, unknown enemies, enemies of my career or those around me, they should not wish me dead. Anyone who does will go before me.”
