Oshodi-Isolo LG Chairman swears in 24 SAs, SSAs

As part of effort to make his government all-inclusive and to carry the people of his community along, the Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Bolaji Muse-Ariyoh has sworn in 16 Special Assistants (SAs) and eight (8) Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) to work with him in various aspects of governance.

This followed the appointment of 17 Senior Special Assistants made in July by the Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Hon. Monsurudeen Bello (Obe) to contribute to the advancement of his policies, programmes and development plans.

According to Bello, the appointments were made so as to further strengthen the value chain in governance to the people of Ejigbo.

Speaking with the appointees, the Council Boss charged  them to be ready to put in their best and bring on board creative ideas and innovations, so as to bring about more development in Ejigbo.

He adds that he believes in inclusive Governance and that is why he has deliberately picked these set of people, so as to ensure representation of all Political Wards in Ejigbo.

While swearing the SAs and SSAs at the Secretariat last week, Ariyoh said the residents could reach the government with their demands through the assistants.

“Providing citizens with adequate information on priorities, programs and activities ensures not only the legitimacy of a government but also institutes regimes of transparency and accountability.

“Our administration would continue to engage the community and run an open administration to ameliorate the pains of our community towards gains of democracy.

A functioning democracy needs an informed citizenry,” he said.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed Special Assistants have pledged their allegiance to the chairman while promising to contribute their quota to the development of the local government.
