The Chairman articulating the primary goal of the Welift Program, emphasized the importance of making a tangible, positive impact on people’s lives. “The Welift Program is not just about infrastructure development,” he stated. “We understand that true progress lies not only in the physical structures that support our community, but also in the wellbeing and economic empowerment of those who are the foundation of our local economy.”

In his speech, Oshinowo reiterated the administration’s commitment to empowering residents, especially the most vulnerable.

He said, “This is a testament to the vision we’ve had since 2018. Our goal has been clear: to raise, support, and empower the people of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, especially those who need it the most.” He emphasized that the initiative aims to provide financial assistance, dignity, empowerment, and opportunities to those in need.

He explained that the selection process for beneficiaries involved critical community bodies, including the Community Development Association, Christian Association of Nigeria, Artisan League of Imams, unions, market leaders, and the World Garden Association.
