Orile-Agege LCDA Council Boss Doles out Over 100 Million Naira Mega Empowerment

The atmosphere at Orile-Agege LCDA was permeated with palpable excitement as the Council Chairman, Mr. Johnson Sunday Johnson Babatunde, distributed a total of 100 million naira among 1,000 beneficiaries at the Council Secretariat on Thursday, August 15, 2024.

 

The jubilant occasion, regarded as one of the Council Chair’s most noteworthy achievements, was met with thunderous applause from all in attendance.

 

In his address to the beneficiaries, the Chairman emphasized that the gesture was part of his administration’s commitment to alleviate poverty within the community, a promise he had made during his tenure.

The Chairman, in his address, underscored the purpose of the ₦100,000 allocated to each of the 1000 beneficiaries, emphasizing that the funds were intended to support investments into businesses that would bolster individual livelihoods and contribute to the economic prosperity of Orile-Agege.

 

The Chairman also extended his generosity to the security agencies in the LCDA, providing utility vehicles to the police personnel and vigilante groups to fortify the safety of the community. In recognition of their critical role, he also presented a new bus each to the environmental task force and the youth wing of the LCDA.

 

 

As the event came to a close, the Chairman reminded the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely, as they were intended to support their business endeavors. He also acknowledged the support and collaboration of the community members, commending them for their contributions in propelling his administration’s accomplishments.
