The chairman of Oriade LCDA, Hon Ramotalai Hassan has donated various learning materials to Salvation Army primary school.

Hon Hassan was represented during the handing over ceremony of the furniture, by Secretary to the council, Alhaji Rasak Olojede who disclosed that provision of the desks and benches to the school was donated based on the request made by the traditional ruler of Ikaare kingdom, Oba Nureni Akinyemi during the commissioning of the ultra modern town hall built by Oriade LCDA for the community in July, the primary school, which is the only public primary school in the sleepy community was in dire need of desks and benches as many of the pupils used to sit on bare floor during classes.
The Secretary added that the council boss promised the traditional ruler and his people in her response to the request that, the furniture would be provided by her administration before the end of 2023, and that the handing over of the furniture to the school is in fulfilment of the promise made by the council chairman.
He urged the teachers and pupils of the school to make judicious use of the furniture to improve their education, while reiterating that the administration of Hon Hassan will continue to pay adequate attention to the development of primary education in Oriade LCDA.
The Education Secretary in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Education Authority, Hon Salako Rasak commended Hassan for provision of the furniture, adding that the gesture will serve as morale booster to the pupils in their pursuit of academic excellence.
The Council Manager, Prince Akitoye Semiu enjoined the pupils of the school to reciprocate the good gesture of the local government by taking their academics serious and make their parents and the nation proud of them,as future leaders.
The school manager, Mrs Ayejina Comfort on behalf of the management and pupils of Salvation Army Nursery and Primary School expressed appreciation to the council chairman for provision of the furniture, adding that she has been very supportive towards the needs of the school, since her assumption of office as chairman of Oriade LCDA.
