Ori-Oke-Ifelodun CDA plans to establish night market, recreation centre

One of the topmost projects on the agenda of the newly constituted Ori-Oke/Ifelodun Community Development Association (CDA) headed by Alhaji Tajudeen Sanni popularly known as (Labule Iku Banileru) is to establish a night market in the community and create a relaxation centre.
To achieve the plans, the newly elected CDA chairman said he would first create mutual relationship with the people in the community and make sure that the people and the CDA executive work together as one.
He added that the CDA has already set up committees to handle each project, pleading for co-operation of the residents as he sought involvement of every resident in the development of the community.
He also promised the community his prompt response to their calls when they need him to attend to issues.
“I promise to answer the people when they call on me to see to what ought to be done,” he said.

Among other projects lined up for execution according to him are development/infrastructure, security, electricity, environment and fund raising.
He stressed that there are committees working on all the listed projects with financial committee headed by financial secretary and treasurer working on sourcing for funds to execute the projects by the CDA.
He further disclosed that the environmental committee would soon be going from house to house to speak to people on sanitation while electrical committee would see to the issues on electricity, adding that committee for infrastructure would embark on culvert and drainage issues in the community.
He revealed that culverts for Afolabi Obe, Osho and Chris Idowu streets with drainages on Sulaiman lane and Oguntimehin lane are among the planned works to embark upon.
Sanni said there is a plan to constitute Ibile security to be led by the chief security officer of the community, promising that two motorcycles would be provided for easy movement of the security guards within the community at night.
Speaking on other plans for the CDA, Sanni said: “We plan to have night market in the community and relaxation centre where people can relax.
“On youth affairs, we have in plan youth orientation and plan to buy JAMB forms for those who are in need as well as creating a game centre. In all the committees created, we have youth representatives as we want to work together with the youths.
“Our utmost goal is to have cordial relationship with the residents and develop the community because I want the CDA to be among the best in state.
“Most important is that we are going to work together with the local government on all our projects and activities in the CDA.”
