All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for Lagos State House of Assembly in Somolu constituency,  Hon. Biodun Orekoya has paid a special tribute to the late Somolu LGA women leader, Hon. Abiola Fashoro (Akoi) who died on Wednesday after a brief illness.
According to Orekoya, “it was big shock for us as we lost an articulated political icon to death.”
He described late Fashoro as a trailblazer and political loyalist that advocated for women and always saw good in what others did.
“Akoi as fondly called by her political allies and family was a very generous grassroots politician who took delight in sharing her knowledge and experience for the good of society. Her contribution to the growth and development of APC in Somolu and the state at large remains immeasurable. In fact, an Iroko tree has fallen.
“It’s my prayer that God should repose her soul to eternal glory, and grant her family and friends the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable and irreparable loss. Rest in peace Mrs. Abiola Fashoro A.K.A Akoi.”
