Oluigbo rolls out plan for new Rotary year

In a bid to encourage and foster the Rotary ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and to encourage and foster the development of every acquaintance as an opportunity for service to the community, the newly inaugurated President of Rotary Club of Festac, Rotarian Placid Oluigbo has enlisted his administration’s plans on how to extend humanitarian services to the people.

He said they plan on increasing the economic rate of the masses as Nigeria’s economy continues to fluctuate by providing job opportunities to a selected few.

To develop the community, he said there would be the availability of water, sanitation and hygiene management to prevent residents from disease with medical experts showcasing likely treatment to those infected.

For adults, Oluigbo said his administration intends to provide a set-up where basic education and literacy would be taught as the world continues to develop.

In the health sector, he made mention of the provision of maternal and child healthcare as women are classified as the backbone of societal reproduction and development while children are the future of the nation in years to come.

Oluigbo appreciated the commitment of the immediate past president for his guidance and legacy laid down while in government while appealing to all members to synergize with him to carry out all intended projects for a successful outcome during his administration.

He, therefore, promised to be efficient and live up to expectations as a leader all through his tenure.
