The Olu-Epe of Epe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, has passed away at the age of 86, bringing an end to a remarkable reign marked by dignity, peace advocacy, and community development.

Oba Adewale, who ascended the throne in 2010, was the 19th traditional ruler of the Epe Kingdom, also revered as Eko-Epe. His reign spanned 15 years and was widely respected for its emphasis on unity, cultural preservation, and social harmony.

Before his enthronement, Oba Adewale had a distinguished career in public service, serving as a commissioner in the Lagos State Civil Service Commission.

His experience in governance brought a unique administrative touch to his leadership as a traditional ruler.

Known for his gentle demeanor and deep commitment to the well-being of his people, Oba Adewale was a staunch advocate for peace and dialogue. His leadership style earned him admiration not only within Epe but also across Lagos State and beyond.

As the town mourns its revered monarch, tributes have begun to pour in from traditional institutions, political leaders, and community members, all lauding his contributions to the growth and stability of Epe Kingdom.

Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the royal family and the Epe Traditional Council in the coming days.
