In obvious recognition of his intense infrastructural strides and development facilities across the length and breath of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, the Presidency, via The Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) has written the council chairman, notifying him of his nomination for the prestigious award of the Bureau as “Digital Local Government Chairman of the Year.”
In a cover letter delivered to the office of the executive chairman on 3rd October, signed by a Director in the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, for The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, the council chairman was intimated of the award as received from the Bureau’s office in Abuja.
The letter from the bureau states that “…we are pleased to inform you that you have been selected to receive the prestigious Nigeria GovTech Public Service Award in the category of “Digital Local Government Chairman of the Year”.
The award is given pursuance to his administration’s ability to showcase their various achievements digitally and for constantly keeping the residents abreast of his administrations’ activities via strong media presence.
These updates, according to the bureau, promotes transparency, critical assessment and probity of his administration thereby promoting good governance in the council area and Nigeria at large.
The letter further stated that “The Award presentation dinner will take place as the culmination of the 2-day Nigeria GovTech Conference scheduled for October 10th-11th, 2024 at NICON Hotel, Abuja.”
Upon receiving the letter, elated Oloyede appreciated the bureau, which is an arm of the Presidency, for its painstaking and objective assessment of his administration.
He stated that his actions are in consonance with his pact with the residents.
He promised to continue to providing needed infrastructures and promote transparency and good governance at the grassroot level.
