The chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, is determined not to stop in providing dividend of democracy until he leaves a lasting legacy that will benefit even the next generation. This is in fulfilment of his commitment to transform the infrastructural level of the local government and provide amenities that improve the living standard of the residents.
Echonews reports that the residents of Alade Street have attested to the quality of work done to ensure free flow of water, and the drainage system, which was flagged off a few weeks ago, is progressing and almost complete.
Recall how the council chairman mandated that a new drainage system be installed and that the old one be completely renovated in order to ensure that the waste channel could flow freely.
The drainage system will be finished before the road rehabilitation gets underway. A resident, identifying himself as Mr. Ramon Soliu, praised the council chairman for the enormous project that is still in progress and prayed for the chairman’s sustained strength from God.
He said; “We are happy at the level of job done by our chairman, Kendoo. Look at how long this street is and the chairman is reconstructing the gutter from the beginning to the end. The old gutter has damaged and when it rains, the place is an eye sore. The iron rods and other materials being used are satisfactory. May Allah bless the chairman”.
Furthermore, the chairman is working harder on other ongoing council-related tasks. In addition to other regions where development work is ongoing, the resurfacing of Shogunle’s Araromi Street, the distillation of the canals, the enlargement of Olori Street, and the construction of the drainage system are all complete.
The chairman of the Oshodi-Isolo Council has pledged to keep working for the people and bringing home the infrastructure development that is required and will benefit the people and their businesses. Yes, he is acting in accordance with his words.
