Oloyede Commends Oshodi-Isolo Youth for Uniting Against Cultism

The Chairman, Isolo Local Government Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede on the 24th October, 2023 hosted the “United youth of Mafoluku” in his office.

The purpose of the meeting was a critical look to stem the ugly tide of cultism, cult related clashes and promote the spirit of brotherhood amongst the youth within the Oshodi-Isolo local government.

The community youth  came together and are prepared to root out the bad apples from among them. The discussion served as a platform for putting on a united face for all parties and outlining future plans for a loved and tranquil Mafoluku Oshodi.
The council chairman welcomed them and expressed his appreciation for their commitment to working with the government to eradicate the threat of cultism.

He revealed that numerous initiatives are being carried out in collaboration with the pertinent security authorities and that those who are apprehended will not be spared.

The chairman of the council commended the group’s cooperation as well, emphasizing that their internal conflicts should become a thing of the past.
He emphasized to them that development initiatives may only be located in quiet areas.
He also reassured them that construction on Omilade and its surroundings will start as soon as possible.

He said; “I am delighted to have you all in my office today to hear that you have all united and ready to partner with the government towards putting perpetual end to the ugly incidence of cultism.

As a government, efforts are ongoing, some I cannot discuss with you, towards putting an end to the development. Security agencies have been charged to carry out their duties promptly and anyone caught will regret the day he decided to join cult.

We shall continue to support you in your new quest of promoting peace, harmony and spirit of brotherhood in our community, the Chairman concluded .”

 

The youths also took advantage of the occasion to let the council chairman know that they planned to plan a walk in the near future to deter young people from joining cults.
