The Mayor of Isolo, Olasoju Adebayo has sent his heartfelt felicitations to the member representing Isolo Constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Barr. Oladipupo Ajomale on his victory at the state assembly election petitions tribunal where is victory was today upheld.
This was contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the chairman, Mr Rasheed Iskilu.
It said in a unanimous decision, the three-man panel dismissed the petition filed by the Labour party and its candidate challenging the declaration of the APC candidate as winner of the elections held on 18th March 2023.
The judgement elicited the council boss’ response via a release from his media shortly after the constituency (Isolo & Ejigbo LCDAs) was thrown into wild jubilations following the court pronouncement.
Excerpt: “Our great party has been vindicated by the well-grounded judgement of the tribunal affirming our candidate’s victory at the polls. There couldn’t have been a better thing to do to the Labour Party’s unfounded petition than to shred and consign their plea to a thrash bag of filthy political wants of desperate politicians”.
Olasoju went on to describe the judgement as an icing on the cake given Thurday’s appointment of Barr. Ajomale as chairman, House Committee on Judiciary, Public Petitions, Human right and LASIEC under the speakership of Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
” Only yesterday, we received the good news of Hon. Ladi’s appointment of a multi-facet House Committee chairmanship in the constituency, today’s judgement therefore, being a testament to his potentials as a barrister, could not have come at a better time than now. Congratulations to Hon. Ladi” the statement read.
