The chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, last week donated food items and relief materials to the inhabitants of the Lagos State Rehabilitation and Training Centre located on Isawo Road, Ikorodu.
According to him, the gesture is in commemoration of a seven days celebration of his one year in office.
He pledged to continue giving back to the community for them to feel the impact of his government in their various wards, adding that he would struggle to fulfill his election promises as a government that is closest to the grassroots.
Commending the gesture, the Assistant Director of the Centre, Mr. Aseyanbi Aderinsola, reiterated the responsibility of the centre, explaining that taking care of people with mental illness and reintegrating them back to the society hale and hearty is their main objectives.
She appreciated the chairman and his management team for the kind gesture while appealing to the council to always visit the Centre regularly as the centre falls under Ikorodu West LCDA jurisdiction.
