Okunade emerges CP, Lagos Special Fraud Unit

The Lagos State Police Special Fraud Unit, PSFU, has appointed Ronke Okunade as it’s Commissioner of Police, CP.

PSFU Spokesperson, Ovie Ewhubare, on Thursday, informed that Okunade was appointed following the retirement of the most recent CP of the Unit, Godwin Omodehinde, on April 4.

Ewhubare relayed that prior to her new role, the designee, who joined the Police Force in 1992, served as a Police Superitended and Deputy Commissioner of Police in the state.

The police Spokesperson also added that Okunade, who hails from Ogbomosho in Oyo State, also became the Chief Superintendent and Deputy Commissioner of Police in Ondo and Cross River States respectively.

The appointee is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan where he was certified with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology.

Upon assumption to office, Okunade assured of her dedication towards maintaining professionalism and adherence to the state’s existing laws. She urged all public stakeholders to support and cooperate with the Unit by ensuring compliance to the laws and order.
