Ojodu LCDA Chairman Leads Rescue After Building Collapse in Ojodu Berger
A building housing Equal Rights Restaurant collapsed early Saturday at 10, Oremeta Street, Ojodu Berger, trapping several people. Ojodu LCDA Chairman, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, led the rescue efforts alongside LASEMA, LABSCA, LASAMBUS, and LSPWC.
16 victims were rescued and taken to Royan Hospital and LASUTH. Sadly, four were confirmed dead. Hon. Odunmbaku visited the hospitals to ensure proper care and offered condolences to bereaved families.
He commended the swift response of state agencies and assured residents that the council remains committed to ongoing rescue operations. Investigations into the cause of the collapse are underway, while the area remains secured.
