OIERL: Ghetto Tigers FC defeat Diamond FA

Ghetto Tigers FC finally got a win in the Oshodi-Isolo, Ejigbo Regional League (OIERL) by defeating Diamond FA 2-1 to get their first 3 maximum points of the league campaign.

Ghetto Tigers FC prolific striker, Yakub Shamsu grabbed a brace in the encounter to secure a win for the Ghetto Ballers.

Ghetto Tigers FC opened the scoring of the game in the 3rd minute through their captain, Yakub Shamsu who showed his prolific instinct in front of goal to give his side an early lead in the encounter.

Diamond FA found it hard to connect well in the game as they played lots of misplaced passes which gave Ghetto Tigers FC the chance to dictate possessions in the game.

Yakub Shamsu of Ghetto Tigers FC proved unstoppable in front of goal as he showed his lethargic finish to score his second goal of the game with a great finish to put his side in a driving seat of the game.

Ghetto Tigers FC were also guilty of squandering numerous chances which would have been added to their advantage in the first half.

Diamond FA responded well at the start of the second half to pull a goal back.

Ghetto Tigers FC’s wasteful finishing prevented them from scoring more goals as the players were made to regret chances missed in an enthralling encounter.

The coach of Ghetto Tigers, Azeez Mustapha was frustrated with his team missing score chances in a game.

Diamond FA were not able to get an equalizer in the game as they were beaten by a slim advantage.
