Coach of Ghetto Tigers FC, Azeez Mustapha said his team is well prepared for the Oshodi, Isolo and Ejigbo League (OIEL), stating the level of preparation by the team while waiting for the commencement of the game I two weeks time.

Though his players are much younger, Mustapha bragged that his team should not be considered as an underdog, saying his young tigers are equal to the task and will withstand all challenges presented by any team in the league.

“Preparation for the Oshodi Isolo league has gotten to the penultimate stage in our camp. What we are arming ourselves with now are valuable friendly games to know our opponents better. We have entered the league process since March and we are excited that the league will kick off two weeks from now.

“I know our opponents may beg to differ but we do not consider ourselves as underdogs. We may have the youngest team and our opponents have little or no knowledge of our little tigers but I can assure you that they’ll have something else coming.

“Winning the league may be a long shot, because most of the boys are going to be making their grassroots league debut but the league experience amassed by the under 15 boys will go a long way to help us in the campaign. I do not doubt that we will have a great campaign.

“With a reputable administrator in the shape of Coach Rasheed Suleiman who is the secretary of Lagos State Coaches Association on the wheel, you can expect the league to have the best of innovation. I know there will be challenges but ultimately I have no doubt that the people in the local organising committee are more than capable to handle the issues that may arise.”

Highlighting how important depth in squad is, Mustapha assured fans that he and his team are working round the clock to avert any shortage.

“This is an area we are still working on, depth is very important when playing in the league and we have to bring a few new faces in other to be ready for that certainty. As of now, our young squad may struggle but on the administrative side, we are working round the clock to avert that bottleneck and I know we’ll overcome,” he said.
