In the face of mounting national tensions, Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, has appealed to the youth to choose the path of peace and constructive dialogue.

Recognizing the myriad of issues confronting the nation, the Chairman emphasized that sustainable progress requires a calm and reasoned approach to problem-solving.

He urged the youth to engage in intellectual discourse rather than resorting to violence or protests, as a more effective means of addressing the challenges facing the country.

“We understand the frustrations of our young people, but we must prioritize peaceful means to address these issues,” he says. “Our administration is committed to youth development, with initiatives focused on skill acquisition, entrepreneurship, and employment.”

Regarding the planned protests, Ogunlewe advises caution and encourages alternative methods of expression. “My office is always open for dialogue, and we are dedicated to listening and responding to the needs of our young residents.”

He also urges patience with the Federal Government’s economic policies, noting that change takes time and that the current administration is working hard to implement beneficial reforms. The local government reaffirms its commitment to transparent governance and youth-inclusive development, promising to maintain open communication channels with all stakeholders.”
