The Chairman of De-Prinocc Construction Company LTD, Prince Yommy Ogungbe, said the construction of Oke-Ogbere Link Bridge is contributing to the socio-economic development in Oke-Afa area of Ejigbo as well as other communities and opened them up for greater developmental opportunities.
The bridge, commissioned on Thursday December 5, 2019, has bridged the gap between Oke-Ogbere community and other neighbouring communities including Bucknor, Jakande Gate, Isheri Oshun, Amuwo Odofin, Okota and Isolo as it has since become a reliable escape route for almost all road users coming from Ejigbo, Egbe-Idimu, Ikotun-Igando LCDAs to Isolo, Amuwo Odofin, Mushin, Oshodi-Isolo LGAs from the time-wasting traffic congestion on the narrowed Mushin-Isolo Road.
He noted that the infrastructure has complemented the Ejigbo LCDA chairman’s developmental strides in the community.
He described the council boss, Hon. Monsuru Bello (Obe), as an achiever, noting that his first term scorecard has been impressive and that he has greatly justified his indigeneship in his performance.
He further remarked that Obe is a typical example of politicians who should be at the state House of Assembly or serve as the governor of the state given his political pedigree and progressive governance in the council area.
Ogungbe said this in a chat with ECHONEWS while reacting to the meritorious award recently given to his company by the All Progressives Congress (APC), Oke-Afa Ward, in acknowledging and appreciating his developmental activities in the community.
The award ceremony was organised in conjunction with AGIL.
The award was given to the company in ”recognition of your exemplary service to Oke-Afa Ward, Ejigbo, Lagos State,” as inscribed on the plaque.
Reacting to the award, Ogungbe expressed delight to have connected the community to other neighbouring communities through the construction of his ‘high-standard bridge’.
He stated that his company is opened to working with the council government on infrastructure that will further develop the council area.
