Ogundare Supports Students With GCE Forms, Scholarship and Bursary In Eti-Osa

Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairman, Mr. John Campos Ogundare, has reaffirmed his dedication to promoting education and nurturing young minds, as he bestowed scholarships, bursaries, and GCE forms upon deserving students within the community.

 

In a demonstration of his unwavering support for education and a brighter future for the youth, Chairman Ogundare prioritized academic excellence by extending these valuable resources to the students, enabling them to pursue their dreams and achieve their fullest potential.

 

 

 

 

In a ceremony that showcased the LCDA Chairman’s profound dedication to education and community development, the Eti-Osa East Secretariat played host to the distribution of invaluable resources, all geared towards supporting local students.

 

Under the astute leadership of Mr. John Campos Ogundare, the LCDA honored 10 exceptional students with substantial scholarships of ₦250,000 each, empowering them to continue pursuing their academic aspirations.

 

Moreover, 50 students received bursary awards of ₦50,000 each, providing them with much-needed financial assistance to alleviate their educational expenses.

 

Additionally, 100 students were presented with General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms, ensuring they have the opportunity to further their academic pursuits.

 

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by the Vice Chairman of Eti-Osa East LCDA, Mr. Azeez, who also serves as the Supervisor for Education. In his address, Hon. Azeez shared a personal story, reminiscing about his days as an undergraduate and how he too was a beneficiary of the bursary awards. He praised the Executive Chairman for his continuous support towards educational excellence within the community. Mr. Ismail Ekundayo Azeez urged the beneficiaries to remain focused, passionate about their academic goals, and to steer clear of unproductive activities that could derail their future.

 

In his keynote address, Mr. John Campos Ogundare reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to education, describing it as one of the bedrocks of his leadership.

 

He acknowledged the current economic challenges faced by many families and emphasized that this financial support is aimed at alleviating some of those burdens, thereby enabling students to concentrate on their studies.

 

The Chairman encouraged the beneficiaries to strive for academic excellence and to continue making Eti-Osa East LCDA proud through their achievements.

 

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Secretary to the Local Government, Mrs. Memudat Shelle. She expressed her gratitude to everyone who attended the ceremony and prayed for the continuous progress and success of the administration. Mrs. Shelle also commended the Executive Chairman and his team for their relentless efforts in promoting education within the LCDA.

 

The scholarship and bursary awards ceremony was attended by notable figures, including the Leader of the House, members of the Executive Council, the Management Team, the Education Secretary, the APC Chairman of Eti-Osa East, and other prominent party stalwarts. Their presence underscored the importance of education and the collective commitment of the LCDA’s leadership to the academic development of its youth.

 

This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Eti-Osa East LCDA to invest in the future of its young citizens, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities necessary to achieve their educational goals and contribute positively to society.
