The Office of the Lagos State Auditor-General, in collaboration with OCS Inventory Professional Services, has organised a two-day training on Audit Report Writing for Auditors on Grade Levels 6 – 12.

In his address at the opening ceremony of the Training held at the LCCI Conference and Exhibition Centre, OlowopopoWay, Alausa-Ikeja, the State Auditor-General, Mr MoshoodAdewuyi Adewale asserted that audit report writing is an integral tool for achieving the best Audit Practice.

He stated that the participants must be able to understand the role and supremacy of Auditors as an Institution in the Public Sector and the concept of Audit Reporting Writing.

Adewale emphasised that Auditors must be able to relate with others with maturity, uprightness, unbiased judgement, ability to display professional mandate and uphold public trust with accountability in their Audit Reporting Exercise.

According to him, an audit is not completed without a standard report, because it speaks all about the Audit Exercise. He, therefore, urged the participants to be attentive and participate actively to know the rudiments of writing the best audit report.

The State Auditor-General also expressed his appreciation to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his unflinching support of capacity building for the Auditors in Public Service.
